Vintage LEGO Pirates 6273 Rock Island Refuge

In this Brick Therapy session, I build and review Vintage LEGO set 6273, Rock Island Refuge.

This set is not technically an Imperial Soldiers sub-theme set, but it did come with and Imperial Soldier and Officer.

I'm glad I have it for my collection, but it's not that interesting to me.

Updating vintage LEGO set 6267 Lagoon Lock-up

Vintage LEGO Pirates set 6267 Lagoon Lock Up is one of my favorite Imperial Soldiers sets. I watched a review from TrixBrix on youtube and was inspired by his add on, so I decided to try my hand at MOCing This set.

I already have ideas of how to make it even better. For now, check out my video here.

LEGO Toy Soldier Minifigure from Character Encyclopedia

While looking for LEGO deals on Amazon, I saw a Character Encyclopedia that included a Toy Soldier. It had a unique red colored Shako hat that I had not seen on any other minifig before.

I initially ordered two of the books so I could have a pir of the Toy Soldier minifigs. When I went back to buy more, I saw that the price had gone up from $15 and change USD to $20 USD. I waited a few weeks, and the price fell again, so I picked up two more.

Check out my review and modification to turn them from toy soldiers to elite Imperial Guards.

One of my biggest LEGO hauls yet

This past week, I received an order from a Facebook group purchase that included LEGO sets 6276, 6277, and 6273. I already had these sets, but I did not have the boxes. Im super excited to have gotten them for such a great deal.

I also received two LEGO 6769 sets. The first one was a win from an auction and the second was an offer that was accepted by the seller. Actually a counter offer that I accepted.

Since I now have two Fort Legoredos, I needed soldiers to man them, so I went on Bricklink to purchase 51 cavalry soldiers. While I was there, I figured I would also purchase some Imperial Soldiers from the 2015 LEGO Pirates line.

Check out my video on YouTube to see the complete haul, here.

LEGO Harry Potter set 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow

I purchased this set for $50 off Offer-Up. I was thinking about purchasing it from Target so I can attach it to set 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall to form a castle for my Imperial Red Coats.

It did not take long before the Imperial Red Coats took control of the castle wall.

Check out my very short review here.

LEGO Haul disaster

In my most recent mail haul, I experienced something luckily I have never experienced before. Every single package had something wrong with it.

First and most obvious with The Brick Bounty. When I picked up the box, it didn't feel right. It felt as if it was empty at the top. I opened it right away to make sure I received the correct item, to see that the box had been crushed.

The listing said it was new in a sealed and perfect box. That was not the box I was looking at. I reached out to the seller, but found out he did not purchase insurance to cover damages. I asked about possibly returning it even though the listing stated no refunds.

The seller reached out to me and asked what amount I would take to keep the item. I told him I would check the condition of the pieces in the box and get back to him. After recording the video below, I recorded myself opening the Brick Bounty. From initial inspection, everything seemed to be intact. I won't know until I actually build the ship, which I was not planning to do since I already have one.

Second was by a seller that I have purchased from multiple times. He sent me four minifigs that looked like the ones I ordered, but not. They seem to be Imperial Redcoats that were MOCs. The torso was just some random red shirt pattern with an odd head. I reached out to the seller and he will be sending out the correct one...possibly.

Lastly, there was an vintage Imperial Soldier that came with purple (at least that's what it looked like to me, I have a color vision deficiency) arms. When I went to replace the arms, they were so brittle that they exploded.

Don't believe me, watch my video here.

Vintage LEGO set 6259 Broadside's Brig

Vintage LEGO set 6259 Broadside's Brig may not be my favorite set because of the low soldier count, but it's a worthy buy if you can find it cheap. The set comes with an Imperial Blue Coat Officer, Soldier, and a pirate.

Even though this set only has 53 pieces according to Bricklink, all the pieces can be added to the other sets in this line.

Check out my YouTube review here.
